Description
Capsaicin-Infused Kinesiology Tape is MedTAC’s innovation of further enhancing Synthetic K Tape with Capsaicin, a natural heat-producing substance.
Our Capsaicin tape is helpful for activating specific heat and capsaicin receptors in the body, which helps with pain relief.
Heat has been used for pain management and healing for over 2000 years. This is mediated by inhibiting purine receptors in the peripheral pain nociceptor pathways through voltage-gated calcium channels sensitive to temperature. These channels, the TRPV1 and TPRV4 receptors on sensory neurons are sensitive to hot and warm temperatures, respectively (Petrofsky et al. 2015).
This was also evident for pain relief if a continuous low-level heat wrap was applied. Here 8 hours of constant heat resulted in 16 hours of pain relief (Petrofsky et al. 2015).
The heat wrap provided significantly faster and sustained pain relief than the oral placebo in subjects with acute low back pain, which was further confirmed in a randomised control trial (Stark et al., 2014). Heat wraps that provide continuous low-level heat therapy that penetrates deep into the muscle are an alternative non-systemic, non-medicated OTC product that is effective in relieving the symptoms associated with LBP (Stark et al., 2014).
Capsaicin is thought to produce analgesia by depleting substance P in small fibre nociceptor neurons on which the Transient Receptor Potential action channel (subfamily V), type 1 (TRPV1), is predominantly located. It binds to the vanilloid receptor TRPV1, which acts as a molecular integrator of chemical and physically painful stimuli[1]. It is an odourless fat-soluble compound rapidly absorbed through the skin (Hayman & Kam, 2008).
MedTAC explored pain relief further using the pain relief effect from synthetic kinesiology tape & adding the heating effect from capsaicin to achieve positive outcomes. Thus, capsaicin extract heat tape was developed to provide extra warmth and pain relief for sore muscles.
MedTac’s K tape is popular among athletes and physiotherapists, especially for muscular discomfort and pain management. Hence it can easily be referred to as the best kinesiology tape on the market.
It is specially designed to support and stabilize various muscles and joints, helping to ease pain and discomfort while improving body movements. So whether you are an athlete looking to enhance your performance or merely seeking relief from everyday aches, kinesiology tape is an effective solution to your discomfort.

Features of MedTAC Capsaicin-Infused Kinesiology Tape
- Heating effect.
- Strong hypoallergic & acrylic adhesive – meant to stick to the skin better.
- This heat therapy tape is water & sweat resistant and made of synthetic fibre.
- Water & sweat-resistant synthetic fibres absorb less water than cotton; therefore, synthetic tapes tend to dry much faster after a shower or swimming.
- More substantial support for longer, synthetic tapes can be worn for a longer duration of up to 3-5 days as compared to cotton, which can be worn up to 1-3 days.
- This permeable tape consists of 95% rayon & 5% spandex.
- German Latex free glue, Henkel Glue.
- The smooth surface of the tape reduces the drag between clothing & the skin.
- The surface of the tape is covered by non-adhesive grid paper, making unwinding & cutting easy.
- The high elasticity & stretch quality upto 170% ensures better flexibility & unrestricted mobility.
- TGA & CE certified.
Benefits of MedTAC Capsaicin-Infused Kinesiology Tape
- Heating effect.
- Reduces pain.
- Helps lymphatic drainage & circulation.
- Improves joint stability & postural awareness.
- Supports joints & muscles.
- Assist with sporting & non-sporting injuries.
Directions for the Application of Kinesiology Tape
- Ensure the skin underneath is clean, dry & oil-free before application of the tape.
- Apply K tape directly on the affected area, do not apply over the clothes or under wrap.
- Determine the length required for the application before cutting the tape.
- Ensure the edges are well-rounded on the ends before its application, which will help it stick better and avoid getting caught on ends.
- Do not stretch starting and ending points of the tape.
- After applying the tape, rub the tape on the skin to activate the adhesive & for a better-sticking effect.
